Our Membership Director is responsible for growing our Keiretsu Forum Northwest membership base by recruiting and managing the investors, family offices, sponsors, resource members and community partners seeking to benefit from participation with Keiretsu.

 

The Membership Directors are responsible for supporting, managing and tracking Keiretsu Forum’s interaction with existing and potential Keiretsu Forum members. Responsibilities will include supporting member committees, orientating new members, arranging informational meetings, preparing renewals packages, tracking results, and engaging investor members throughout our monthly process.

Essential Functions of Membership Director

  • Recruit and steward incoming members to ensure quality experience that meets the goals and expectations of Keiretsu Forum members.
  • Support member-run committees to onboard new members and support engagement
  • Consistently follow up and prioritize membership development efforts and events
  • Track, monitor, and report on the on-going progress of all potential new members and membership in the pipeline.
  • Maintain an external presence in appropriate venues to promote Keiretsu Forum, build positive community goodwill, and recruit potential presenting companies and members.

 

Tasks/Responsibilities Below is an outline of tasks related to this position. This summary should not be considered a complete list of duties; additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

 

New Member Development

  • Communicating and pre-qualifying guest attendees ahead of Keiretsu Forum meetings
  • Manage prospective member and sponsor database and communications
  • Keep updated database of potential new member contact information
  • Reach out to prospective members via phone calls, emails and social media outreach to effectively communicate the benefits of Keiretsu Forum membership
  • Meet investors that attend as guests of members at Keiretsu Forums
  • Organize and lead informational meetings for prospective members
  • Travel to attend social events
  • Keep updated the marketing collateral materials (one-pagers on Keiretsu Forum, Members, Entrepreneurs, Sponsors, etc.)
  • Participate in the logistical execution of the Keiretsu Forum meetings and events

 

New Member Onboarding

  • Receive membership applications and schedule orientation sessions
  • Onboard new members and integrate them in the Keiretsu community
  • Hold new member orientation meetings to inform new members of the benefits of Keiretsu membership and communicate the various programs and initiatives
  • Develop a meaningful relationship with the Keiretsu Forum members, get to know their background, professional and personal interests and encourage them to invite prospective members and presenters
  • Organize monthly Keiretsu Academy new member educational program and invite Keiretsu Forum Resource and Sponsor members as speakers and panelists
  • Coordinate Member committees events and participation

 

Community/Sponsorship Development

  • Develop relationships with strategic sponsors that may help grow Keiretsu Forum
  • Develop community partnerships with local organizations to help build the angel investment community
  • Create in-kind partnerships for cross-promoting educational and investor events, including investment groups and entrepreneur focused organizations
  • Attend and participate in industry conferences and events related to investing and the Pacific NW area, representing Keiretsu Forum and sourcing high quality investor members
  • Assist and manage internship program with 4-6 interns, special focus on remote chapters
  • Update blog, twitter, LinkedIn, and other Social Media platforms regularly

 

Revenue Tracking:

  • Process payments and incoming revenue and update spreadsheet
  • Keep schedule of member and sponsor renewals, invoice members, and track accounts receivable
  • Develop budgets and update forecasts for specific projects and keep track of revenue goals

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Communication, Finance, Economics, or other relevant field.
  • The desire to gain insight into successful startups, entrepreneurs, and angel investing.
  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office 365, Dropbox, and a generally high aptitude with technology.
  • Skilled in project management.
  • Ability to attend and support operations of monthly events. Including the occasional night and weekend events.
  • Outstanding listening, analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to quickly build authentic relationships, provide high-quality customer service, and deliver on results. A servant-leader at heart.
  • Ability to interact with C-Suite Executives from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Demonstrates a high level of diplomacy.
  • Strong work ethic, hands-on, and detail oriented.
  • Team player, ability to work cross-functionally, self-driven, motivated, and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to drive a project from conception to completion, not just execute on an existing plan.
  • Professional, hardworking, and friendly with a good sense of humor.

Salary $60-75K DOE + $15-20K Sales Bonus
