FunctionThe main mission of the control thermal systems engineer will be to design, develop and implement control systems (software and algorithms at Components / Subsystems / Systems levels) on vehicle numerical models, thermal system bench or vehicle and to perform related thermal testing programs.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesMISSIONSMAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Execute thermal testing programs on thermal system bench or vehicle
  • Provide Control Systems deliverables and expertise:
  • Build software component models library of control & command
  • Build software sub-system models library of control & command
  • Build software system models library of control & command
  • Build environment model library to support test and validation of software components
  • Build environment model library to support test and validation of software sub-systems
  • Build environment model library to support test and validation of software systems
  • Provide control & command sub-system / system and key component functional specification with corresponding validation procedure
  • Justify sub-systems / systems and key component functional requirements with simulation
  • Test, Integrate, Validate, Calibrate software components / subsystems / systems on thermal system bench or vehicle
  • Implement the control and supervision of distributed systems on thermal system bench or vehicle
  • Define and optimize control laws for thermal system bench or vehicle
  • Capitalize know-how in data bases and reports
  • Method and tools:
  • Analyze and understand functional requirements and architecture design rules related to thermal systems
  • Analyze and understand functional requirements and operating functions related to the system bench
  • Develop and Deploy model-based design specification and validation methodology and tools to support software component / sub-system and system production
  • Provide support to the advanced engineering team
  • Make the deliverables available to any members of the advanced engineering team through user guide and standards

ORGANIZEExecution of the thermal testing programs on thermal system bench or vehicle according to the schedule/priorities.Implementation of the control systems according to the schedule/priorities.CONTROLEnsure the validity of the results obtained from thermal system testing program at system bench or vehicle’s levelEnsure the validity of the control systems deployed on the vehicle numerical models, the thermal system bench, or the vehicle (assumptions, laws, limit conditions, set temperatures, drift, etc.),ANIMATEResponsible for the presentation of the main strategies and critical analyses.Your skills:

  • Skilled in Software / Coding (C, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Sensing, physics measurements
  • Analog and digital electronics, embedded software
  • Knowledge of the HiL (Hardware-In-the Loop) and Co-simulation approach
  • Knowledge of BUS communication for automotive : CAN, LIN, etc.
  • Thermal/Energy/Mechanical in Automotive
  • Mechanical design (basics)
  • Experience with 0/1D system simulation (Simcenter Amesim)
  • Highly motivated, dynamic, innovation driven, international mindset
  • Structured and methodical thinking, innovative attitude, and Self-Motivated personality
